India - Petal papers India has a rich tradition of handmade papermaking. As jute, rice and cotton are amongst India's chief natural crops, many of the papers in our line utilize these materials. As the use of "rags" in papermaking declined in the West because of unavailability and higher costs, it is interesting to note that waste rags are used in most of the papers listed here. Most of these rags are collected from hosiery mills, and in some cases discarded awnings. In the case of silk and wool, these are acquired from blanket and silk factories. These inexpensive papers constitute high quality for your archival concerns.
